NBC Summary: THE "HEROES" EACH CONFRONT UNEXPECTED NEWS AND EVENTS THAT COULD FURTHER CHANGE THEIR LIVES AND RELATIONSHIPS -- Facing a crisis involving her son Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey), a distraught Niki (Ali Larter) reveals her recent personal struggles to a friend. Pushing aside his own issues at home, Matt (Greg Grunberg) assists Audrey's (guest star Clea Duvall) investigation into another bizarre murder, but their pursuit of mysterious serial killer Sylar takes an unexpected turn. After failing to act like a "superhero" when faced with danger, Hiro (Masi Oka) questions his heroism. Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and his wife Heidi (guest star Rena Sofer) strategize how to win the congressional election. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is shocked to learn where her missing tape wound up. Meanwhile, her father H.R.G. ("Horn-Rimmed Glasses," guest star Jack Coleman) is disturbed by news from one of his associates. Santiago Cabrera, Tawny Cypress, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Leonard Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia also star, and Randall Bentley ("Judging Amy"), Ashley Crow ("Champs"), Lisa Lackey ("NYPD Blue") and Richard Roundtree ("Shaft") guest star.

Major Revelations:
- Charles Deveaux told his daughter, Simone, about flying with Peter and seeing terrible things.
- Peter had a dream about Charles Deveaux soon before learning that he had passed away.
- Micah also has an ability.
- Matt "hears" Tom McHenry admit to sleeping with Matt’s wife. This leads into an altercation that gets Matt into trouble.
- Claire's brother Lyle finds the video that she and Zach took, and learns the secret about his "freak" sister.

Cliffhangers:
- Micah uses his previously-unrevealed powers to try and contact his mother.

Mohinder Suresh's Closing Narration: "You do not choose your destiny, it chooses you. And those who knew you before fate took you by the hand cannot understand the depth of the changes inside. They cannot fathom how much you stand to lose in failure. But you are the instrument of a flawless design, and all of life may hang in the balance. A hero learns quickly who can comprehend and who merely stands in your way."
