Jessica Sanders - Ali Larter

"Tell me, Claire. Can you keep a secret?"

First Appearance: #1.3 "One Giant Leap "

Location: At HRG's side

Profession: n/a

Known Relatives/Associates: Mr. Bennet/HRG (employer); Eden McCain (associate)

Powers: The Haitian has the ability to "clean" someone's mind and make them forget important events or their entire life up to that point, therefore (as referred to by Mr. Bennet) "hollowing" them out. It's almost like erasing a disk. The Haitian's powers also work as a way to block others' mental powers - gifts such as Matt's telepathy and Eden's power of suggestion do not work when he is present. It has also been speculated that he can suppress the use of powers in general.

Character Biography: Proving that you can be silent and deadly, we have the Haitian. First seen in a bar staring at Matthew Parkman, this enigmatic figure has since been a constant fixture at Mr. Bennet's side. It is unknown exactly how far back this relationship goes but as seen in "Six Months Ago", they were already together. Much about the Haitian's personal life or past has not been revealed, although Theodore Sprague referred to him as a student. Whether this is true or a memory later implanted by the Haitian, again is unknown.

Under Mr. Bennet's instruction, the Haitian has helped to apprehend Theodore Sprague and Matthew Parkman subsequently erasing their memories to forget exactly what was done to them. However the memory of having seen the Haitian remains. If this was done on purpose has yet to be revealed. He was also present when Eden McCain was recruited onto Mr. Bennet's team, as well as the capture of Sylar and the failed attempt at Nathan Petrelli.

Although he was instructed to erase Claire Bennet's memory of recent events and her powers, the Haitian instead told her to remember that information and only pretend that she had forgotten.

Thus far The Haitian has used his powers on several people other than the main characters including: Zach, Lyle Bennet, Sandra Bennet, and Brody Mitchum.

The Haitian's necklace features the RNA Helix symbol which has also been seen as a tattoo on the back of Jessica Sanders, the hilt of future Hiro's Tachi and many paintings scene in the future loft of Isaac Mendez. The symbol has also secretly been scattered in several other shots through out the series.

Featured Episodes: #1.3 "One Giant Leap"; #1.4 "Collision"; #1.5 "Hiros"; #1.9 "Homecoming"; #1.10 "Six Months Ago "; #1.11 "Fallout"; #1.12 "Godsend"

Actor Biography: Past credits include The Shield and Monster-In-Law. He was also in a few of the steamy Emmanuelle movies from the early 1990's as well as the hit movie The Bourne Identity and the horrible (yet hilarious) Phat Girlz.

The "Haitian" bit is not an act - actor Jimmy Jean-Louis was actually born in Haiti.
